Chris Young blends a background in engineering and construction project management with
field supervision experience. Beginning in 1980 he worked for Baugh Industrial Contractors
as a project manager on various large commercial and industrial projects. In June of 1985,
Chris was named President of MB Construction Company, a subsidiary of Baugh Enterprises.
Under his leadership, MB Construction grew from $6 million per year in construction
revenue to a $30 million a year company. During his tenure at MB, the company's net worth
increased 10 fold.
In 1989 Chris, with his partners, founded Crownover Construction Company. In the years
since its inception, Crownover built a solid reputation for its work in commercial, retail,
office, mixed-use, church, gaming, and multi-family residential building projects.
Over the past 15 years, Crownover successfully completed projects of various types and sizes
totaling over $150 million.
In January of 2004 Chris joined the Chehalis Tribes to form Saxas Construction.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of
Washington and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Michigan State University.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
With over 25 years in the commercial and industrial construction industries,
Chris has substantial experience in projects of diverse size and scope. His specialized
knowledge and proven skills include the following:
- Direction and administration of a commercial building construction company
- Design coordination, construction planning, and scheduling of a broad range of projects
- Conceptual estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and cost control
- Organization and direction of the project team with the communications skills necessary to work effectively and successfully with owners, architects, and engineers

Over the past 25 years, Bill Luby has been responsible for the completion of a variety of
commercial structures ranging from single story multi-family to high-rise office mixed use
projects. Bill joined Crownover Construction as Project Superintendent in 1991. Prior to
coming to Crownover, he spent 11 years with the Baugh Enterprise organization as a project
superintendent. His background includes working in all aspects of the construction industry
ranging from journeyman carpenter to lead foreman to project superintendent. Bill has
developed special expertise in the construction of multi story office buildings and specialty use
buildings such as gaming facilities.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bill has developed key skills in project administration and supervision including:
- A thorough working knowledge of building structural system including wood frame, concrete, structural steel and masonry
- The ability to carefully layout and control the work
- An appreciation for detail and getting the details right
- The ability to motivate people and promote team spirit and enthusiasm among the project work force
- Knowledge of sub-trade scheduling, flow of work and the ability to direct subcontractor's work effectively

Stephen has a unique mix of skills including accounting, business management, marketing,
and computer information systems knowledge. He began his accounting career in 1985 working as
a bookkeeper for his father's company, Gahr Industries. He later assumed the role of Office
Manager, and finally, owner and President in 1994. Gahr Industries was a successful automotive
chemical and accessories distributor in Michigan until Stephen sold the business in 1999 to
a competitor.
For a year he worked for the purchaser of his company as Operations Manager, while pursuing
graduate studies in computer information systems.
He moved to the state of Washington in 2000 and began working as the Controller for EHS International,
an environmental consulting / construction remodeling company serving, primarily, federal, state,
and local governments. It was there that his interest in construction accounting grew.
In April of 2004 Stephen joined the team at Saxas Construction as its Controller.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Walsh College, 1999
- 19 years experience in all facets of financial accounting including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, job costing, forecasting, budgeting, tax preparation, financial statement preparation, and tracking work-in-progress and project backlog
